Occupy Thanet was a protest in Margate, in the district of Thanet, Kent in England. The action was part of the Occupy movement, which was a series of protests against economic and social inequality.[1] Occupy Thanet is also focused on local issues,[2] including the closure of shops in the town and the Dreamland Margate amusement park, a lack of employment opportunities[2] and perceived disparities in the allocation of education resources.[2]
