OCEAN JET - is a Russian band formed in 2013 in Kostroma. Their musical style is a mix of electronic, pop and rock genres.

The band was created on November 7, 2013, with the release of their debut single Distant on the Internet, which became wide-spread in social media.[1]. At the same time on the VK page it gained massive positive feedback from all over the country and abroad. On 28 November the band released their second single Victims, which was well received by the Internet-community and critics. On December 25, 2013 OCEAN JET released their first EP Echoes that featured 4 songs (including internet singles Distant and Victims).

On March 1, 2014 the production of the first music video for Distant[2] began (released on July 23, 2014). In late November and early December the band performed their first shows in Saint-Petersburg, Moscow, Kostroma and Voronezh. After performing their set in Moscow, they were signed to Kometa Music, famous for working with such performers as Naadya, Artemiev, Glintshake, Esthetix, etc.

On March 16, 2015 the band released their first LP Vengeance[3]. At the same time the drummer Nikolay Dementiev joined OCEAN JET. The band started rehearsals for the upcoming shows to support the recent album Vengeance. The band was added to the multitude of festivals including VK Fest, Lenovo Vibe Fest, Stereoleto, Moscow Music Week, VW & Audi Fest, along with performing in Saint-Petersburg and Moscow throughout spring and summer with their own show program. Their music was featured in a short film Carjacker[4] by Maxim Kulagin, which was awarded the Special Jury Prize at the Sochi Open Russian Film Festival in the category “Short Film”[5] On December 2, OCEAN JET won a competition "Стань звездой D1" (Become a Star D1) organized by Sennheiser, showing a better result than nearly 600 music bands and receiving unanimous jury vote.

On March 3, 2016 the band released their new EP The Word Never Dropped, which became a critical milestone in the history of the band. The sound of the songs has changed, and the lyrics became more personal. In March the channel TNT (Your New Television) released a TV series Policeman from Rublyovka, where the song Weak was used as a soundtrack. On June 20, 2016 the band became an official endorser of the company Sennheiser. On October 5, 2016 the band began their extensive tour across Russia titled “Ash And Dust Tour 2016”. The tour included more than 30 shows in more than 30 cities from Saint-Petersburg to Krasnoyarsk.

While shooting the short film Carjacker the band met Alexander Petrov who starred in that film. After that the actor came up with idea of dramatic show #BORNAGAIN[6], where he combined poetry, cinema, music, and theater. OCEAN JET became the musical heart of the project and created the musical arrangement for the show. The premiere of #BORNAGAIN took place on November 23, 2016 at the venue Yota Space in Moscow. The song Breaking the Stones became an official soundtrack of the show. On the eve of the premiere, November 14, official video starring Alexander Petrov and Irina Starshenbaum were released. #BORNAGAIN was performed more than 30 times, more than 100 000 spectators saw it, it was shown in the cinema more than in 100 cities, and the channel STS showed it to a multimillion audience. The show was held at the largest and most famous venues including GLAVCLUB Green Concert, A2 Green Concert, Event Hall, Adrenaline Stadium, CROCUS City Hall, and the biggest Russian open-air festival NASHESTVIE.

On April 2, 2017 OCEAN JET the second part of the "Ash And Dust Tour" titled “Ash And Dust Tour 2017”, which included 14 shows in 14 cities. On December 7, 2017 the band released the second LP Glowing Black, and it was presented in Moscow on 16 December and in Saint-Petersburg on 17 December. Besides, that year the video Into the Storm got awarded at the International Manhattan Film Festival in the category “Best cinematography”.

In March, 2018 the channel NTV released a TV series Curse of the sleeping, the composer of which was Max Scotch. Several songs of the band also featured in the TV series while the musicians did a cameo in one of the episodes. On November 7, 2018 – the band’s birthday – OCEAN JET went on tour which included 21 shows in 21 cities.

In early March of 2019 OCEAN JET were chosen to support the famous British band Enter Shikari whose tour included several cities in Russia. The band warmed up at the venue Adrenaline Stadium[7][8] in Moscow and at A2 Green Concert in Saint-Petersburg. The release of a new single Beast was announced a year after the album Glowing Black came out. On 19 April the single was presented in Moscow and in Saint-Petersburg on 26 April.
