Octopie is an American animation network and studio founded by Micah Brooke, Lon Strickland and Isaac Krauss. They produce original animation by collaborating with independent creators as well as film and television talent.[2] Octopie’s content can be seen globally across both broadcast television and digital platforms including YouTube[3], Facebook[4] and Instagram[5], as well as Netflix and TV.[6] They are best known for the animated shorts If Stranger Things was an 80s Anime[7] [8] and The End of Pokemon videos[9] as well as the SpaceWorld pilot starring Tommy Wiseau.[10][11]

Animated programs[edit]

Octopie has worked on multiple shows, including Paranormal Action Squad, Youtube Premium’s first animated show; Explosion Jones [1][12] Celebrity Animal Encounters[1][13] SpaceWorld (with Tommy Wiseau);[14] Un-Unexplained,[15] Censored,[16] and more.[17] Octopie oversaw the production of the Netflix series Magic: The Gathering, and two Octopie members served as executive producers for the series.[18] Octopie also managed a Japanese, United Kingdom, United States three way collaboration which led to production of Afro Samurai in 2007.[19]

Partnership with the Russo brothers[edit]

Octopie is overseeing the production of the upcoming Netflix original Magic: The Gathering[20][21] series which is being executive produced by the Russo Brothers[22].
