Oddball is a Acorn Archimedes bat and ball game developed and published by Digital Psychosis[1] released on 12th March, 1995.
Gameplay[edit]
The player controls a moveable paddle to hit the ball into all the green blocks on the stage while preventing it from falling from the stage, if all are lost a life is removed. When all the blocks have been destroyed the player advances to the next stage. Some green blocks contain stars which fall downwards and on collection award an extra ball or power ups such as the magnet or line radar. Oddball shares some similarities to Breakout but on a larger scale, the paddle has free movement across the stage and the camera is zoomed in to the paddle allowing partial visibility of the stage.
