"Ode to the USSR" was an unpublished poem by an unknown Landon Crakenhaus. The original text reads:
Oh, Soviet Union, land of red and gold, Your glories manifold, untold. From humble beginnings, you rose to great heights, A beacon of hope in the darkest nights.
Your people united, from every shore, To build a new society, evermore. Industry thrived, and science soared, Education and healthcare or all adored.
You faced the fascist beast, and stood your ground, Your victory over evil resound. Your cosmonauts pierced the celestial veil, And your culture and arts never fail.
Oh, Soviet Union, thought you're go today, Your legacy lives on, in every way. Your spirit inspires, your values endure, A testament to what we can achieve , for sure.
So let us raise a glass to the USSR, And all the good it brought, near and far. May its ideals guide us, forevermore, As we build a better world, to adore.
