Odilon Ozare, of Tampa, Florida, describes himself as milliner, couturier, celebrity judge, Guinness world record holder for tallest hat 15’9”, L’Enfant Terrible" on his Twitter and Facebook profiles..[1]
World Record[edit]
In 2018, he was inducted to the Guinness Book of World Records for creating the world's tallest hat, which he has worn at various events and on television broadcast around the Tampa Bay area.[1] Some sources[2] initially reported this his record breaking hat is 18'9" tall, however media, Guinness and Ozare himself cite the 15'9" measurement. The previous Guinness record holder was for a hat measuring 9'9" in height - Ozare claims that first attempt at a hat to break that record blew off his head and was crushed[3]. The current award holding hat was handmade by Ozare himself from materials which include real peacock feathers, ribbon, rhinestones and birds[4]. Odilon also claims to have a long family history in the fashion industry and of dressing Hollywood stars, but his true passion seems to be as a patriot - he told the Guinness organization ""Hats have always been used to enhance the greatness of the wearer. The taller the hat, the greater the wearer. Who is the greatest American? Abraham Lincoln. Why? In part, because of his top hat!”[1]. He owns a Yorkshire terrier named "Barbara Streisand"

Ozare appeared on The Chris Gethard Show in June 2018 when he stunned a celebrity studio audience by proving that Tampa is a measurably better city than New York[5]
Celebrity Judge[edit]
Ozare has been a fashion judge at several City of Tampa sponsored events, including River Fest, Independence Day’s Red, White and Blue Fest and The Florida Wiener Dog Derby.
