Odley Jean (born August 22, 1996) is an American actress. She is known for her role as Dominique "Dom" Pierre in the Netflix series Grand Army.

Early life and education[edit]

Jean is from Flatbush, Brooklyn and was born to a Haitian family. After the 2010 Haiti earthquake, her extended family came to live with them, making a total of 13 living in an apartment.[1]

Jean attended Clara Barton High School. She discovered acting through a non-profit theater program at her school Opening Act when she was 16 and was offered a scholarship to Katie Cappiello's theater group, GoodCapp Arts.[2] Through this, she performed various monologues and one person plays to raise awareness about various causes.[3][4] She initially majored in African-American studies at Nassau Community College before switching, going on to graduate with a degree in Human Services and Sociology.[5][6]
