Ojo Taiye

Ojo Taiye is a Nigerian writer of poetry. He says that he "uses poetry as a handy tool to hide his frustration with society"[1]. He is the author of "All of Us are Birds and Some of Us have Broken Wings", selected as winner of the Kingdoms in the Wild Annual Poetry Prize.[2] His poem "Hereditary Blues" won the 2020 Bend Source Poetry Contest.[3] He was a finalist for the 2019 Brittle Paper Award for Poetry.[4] Taiye's poem Rainbow Inferno won first prize in the 2021 Cathalbui (Belcoo, Ireland) poetry competition. He was also awarded first place for his series of poems in the 2021 Hay Writers Competition.[5]
