Oladoc
oladoc is a digital healthcare technology company that developed an online platform connecting patients with doctors.[1] The company was founded in 2016 and is headquartered in Lahore, Pakistan. [2] The service allows patients to find the best doctor and specialist online through their platform and schedule an appointment from within the app.
History[edit]
The service was founded as mydoctor.pk in 2016[3]. The company was started off with personal funding and later got a funding of $1.1 million from Glowfish Capital a UAE based venture capital firm[4]. After the funding, they rebranded as oladoc.com, and also expanded operations to other cities and developed some local partnerships[5].
Products & Services[edit]
oladoc was initially launched to connect people with healthcare professionals, allowing them to book appointments with doctors using the web portal, helpline, and mobile app.[6][7] Later, they also partnered with a local lab testing company to offer medical tests right from within the app. The service has over 14,000 PMDC (Pakistan Medical & Dental Council) verified doctors and has helped more than 1 million patients in 2018.[8]
