Wowanism in flora nwapa's Efuru

womanism is a little bit softer than feminism. womanism is African. it is an attack on the system of patriarchy because womanism is saying-moderate the system. the belief of a womanist is that "the man cannot do it alone, therefore let me be of help". this is seen in nwapa's efuru where efuru is of great help to his first husband 'Adizua'. in chapter four of the novel, efuru says "what is wrong in marrying a second wife? it is only a bad woman who wants her husband to herslf". this is highly a womanist nature in Efuru.
