Olivarez Coliseum is an indoor arena located on the campus of Olivarez College in Parañaque, Philippines. It currently serves as the home arena of the Olivarez Sea Lions of the Universities and Colleges Athletic League (UCAL) and the Parañaque Patriots of the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League (MPBL). The arena's seating capacity is 5,000.
The arena has also been referred to as Olivarez College Gymnasium, though the college’s website mentions a separate, smaller gymnasium that is different from the Coliseum.[1]
Notable events and tenants
Olivarez Coliseum is home to the Olivarez Sea Lions, the athletics teams of Olivarez College. The arena has been used multiple times for Sea Lions games, particularly during their time in the Universities and Colleges Athletic League, where the Sea Lions are currently affiliated. [2][3] The Parañaque Patriots of the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League have also used the arena since beginning play in 2018.[4][5]
Olivarez Coliseum has also hosted Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) games, though the most recent game played at the arena was on November 27, 2008, between the Barangay Ginebra San Miguel and Powerade Tigers.[6] The San Miguel Beermen (ABL) and San Miguel Alab Pilipinas of the former ASEAN Basketball League (ABL) have also used the arena on multiple occasions.[7][8]
