Oliver Dempsey
Oliver Dempsey is a professional Australian rules footballer playing for the Geelong Cats in the Australian Football League. He was drafted by the Geelong Cats at pick 15 in the 2021 AFL Rookie Draft. He made his AFL debut in round 6 of the 2022 AFL Premiership Season against North Melbourne Kangaroos at Bellerive Oval in Hobart, Tasmania in front of a crowd of 8,663 spectators.

Early Life
In Dempsey's childhood years he played club football for the Boroondara Hawks. During Dempsey's teenage years he went to Carey Baptist Grammar School and graduated in 2021. During his time at Carey he pursued Basketball until switching back to Football in his final couple of years. He played in the Carey 1st XVIII team in his final years until he graduated. He did not play in the NAB League.[1]
AFL Career
Dempsey made his debut on Sunday 24th of April 2022 against the North Melbourne Kangaroos in the Anzac Day round of the 2022 AFL Premiership Season. On his debut Dempsey got 16 disposals (11 handballs and 5 kicks). He had 1 tackle, 0 marks, one behind and his maiden AFL goal. Dempsey has played in 2 AFL matches during his career.[2]
