Background and planning
On June 14, 2026, Oliver Tree was killed after two helicopters collided mid-air in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Among the victims were Oliver Tree, YouTuber Gaspi, screenwriter Lucas A. Vignale, and Brazilian music producer Lucas Frota, as well as the two pilots.
In June 2026, days after Tree's death, a memorial service was announced on Tree's social media platforms.[1] The memorial service took place in Santa Cruz, California, and was livestreamed on Tree's social platforms.[2][3] The service revealed unreleased music, caskets for each of Tree's "characters", and live shows.[4] Prominent influencers like Logan Paul, Ethan Klein, Diplo and more are speaking at the event.[5][6]
