Olivetti Lettera 35
The Olivetti Lettera 35 is a portable mechanical typewriter created by Olivetti and released to the public in 1972.
Mechanics[edit]
The Olivetti Lettera 35 was created in 1972 by Mario Bellini. Like other machines by the company like the Olivetti Dora and the Lettera DL, it mechanically resembles the Lettera 32, released in 1963 and created by Marcello Nizzoli. The typewriter presents a design compatible with the imagination of a professional typewriter, with its design inspired by the design of the company's Lettera 36.[1][2] It also has a similar weight to the Lettera 32, at 5.5 kg. It came to 7.1 kg with their original plastic covering.
Keyboard[edit]
The original Italian version used the QZERTY keyboard, and also had been available in versions with different keyboards which corresponded with other languages. The alphanumeric keys totaled 43 of the 86 total keys. Other than this, the keyboard had two keys to set uppercase letters, a caps lock key, a lever to for the ability to go beyond the set margins, a key for backspacing, a lever to switch tabs, and a (red) key to switch between tabs to others.
