Olivia Jackson (born August 25, 1983) is a South African actress, stunt woman, and kickboxer.[1][2][3] She lost an arm and nearly died in motorcycle crash in the 2015 accident on the Resident Evil: The Final Chapter film set in South Africa.[4][5]

Career[edit]

Jackson's acting debut was Jackson in the short film Ongwe - The Leopard filmed in Namibia.[6] In 2011, Jackson played the role of Chloé in the French film Largo Winch II - The Burma Conspiracy by Jérôme Salle, performing the stunts herself. In the television series Beaver Falls she performed in the second episode of the first season stunts. She then appeared in 2011 in the movie The Kick as a US Taekwondo champion, and as an Interpol agent in Hangover 2 in front of the camera.

In 2012, she performed stunts in the films Safe House, Dredd, The Impossible and Death Race: Inferno. She was the stunt double for Rosie Huntington-Whiteley in the movie Mad Max: Fury Road.

On September 5, 2015, Jackson crashed as part of the filming of Resident Evil: The Final Chapter and sustained life-threatening injuries that led to the amputation of her left arm.[7][8] She is seeking to sue the director, producer, stunt coordinator and production studios for the film for lack of safety taken in performing the stunt and a total abandonment in regards to covering her medical bills. She was given $33,000, which she claims won't even cover 1 of the possible 10 surgeries that she needs. [9] In 2018 it was announced that Jackson had initiated legal action against various parties associated with the film for £2.2 million.[10][11][12]
