Ollie Lord started his AFL career for Port Adelaide Football Club (wearing the number 30) in Round 6, 2023 against West Coast, ending the game with 1 goal, 5 kicks, 3 marks, 10 disposals and 5 handballs.

2023 Season:[edit]

With Lord 13 matches played in his initial season, he demonstrated composure and excellence for a rookie, with an average of 7 disposals, 4 kicks, 1 goal, 48% accuracy on goal, 2 marks, 2 tackles and 37 fantasy points. But where most people will know his name was from the 2023 AFL finals series week 1 where he demonstrated his scoring ability by scoring 4 goals against the very strong side Brisbane Lions who went on to go to the 2023 AFL Grand Final.

Rated among the best tall forwards in the 2020 AFL draft, Ollie Lord stands at 195cm and has impressed with his marking ability and agility at ground level. His size and skillset makes him an extremely exciting prospect, with the young talent consistently impressing at SANFL level. The back end of 2022 saw him switch ends and begin develop his craft as a key defender – showing great potential in whatever position he is played in. He currently plays as a key forward and is now aged 21.
