Olupot Nathan Ernest (born 28 November 1993) is a technology journalist and the senior editor at PC Tech Magazine which he joined in 2015.

Personal Life[edit]

Olupot Nathan Ernest was born in Uganda and grew up in Nsambya, a hill in the center of Kampala. He is a son to Ariko David Gerald, Police Commissioner in the Uganda Police Force, and Achom Ann Grace, a CID Officer.

Education[edit]

He has attended his primary level at Police Children School, secondary level at Makerere High School and Merryland High School and later attend his university level at Makerere University and Uganda Technology and Management University.

Olupot holds a bachelor's degree in Information Systems and Technology from Uganda Technology and Management University (UTAMU), and he is certified in Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) from Makerere University (MUK).

While at Uganda Technology and Management University (UTAMU), he was among the team that developed the Guild Constitution in 2014. He later was part of the first Electoral Commission team for the University’s first-ever guild elections.

Work and Career[edit]

Before joining PC Tech Magazine in 2015, Olupot worked for Info-Code Consults Ltd, Eight Tech Consults Limited, and VINAJ Websites as a lead web developer and content creator respectively. He has also worked with some of the major public and private organizations in Uganda including; MTN Uganda, the National Information Technology Authority-Uganda (NITA), Huawei Technologies Uganda, and MultiChoice Uganda.

Currently, Olupot is a technology journalist and editor of PC Tech Magazine. He has contributed and edited over 5,000+ articles for the company. He is working with various contributors around the world to produce articles for the company.

As a photographer, Olupot has worked with various institutions and persons on travel, and product photography.
