Oluwaseun Babalola Bamiro is a Nigerian businessman and owner of YNorth Wears, a clothing company in Nigeria.[1]

Early Life & Education[edit]

Career[edit]

Oluwaseun started YNorth as a shoe company (known as YNorth shoes) back in 2010 after his graduation form LASPOTECH. In 2010, his girlfriend got him a pair of slippers as a gift which got positive comments from his friends. He struck a deal with the shoemaker and started selling. In order to make the shoes more fashionable, the shoemaker put foreign brand stickers until Oluwaseun decided to start his own brand and named it YNorth shoes. It has it's head office in Ibadan, Oyo State in Southwestern Nigeria.[3] In 2016, he rebranded to YNorth Wears by including shirts for both sexes.[4] The name "YNorth" came as a result of his debate with the shoemaker who insisted on using foreign brand stickers instead of developing a brand.[5]

Personal Life[edit]

Oluwaseun Bamiro is married to Dorcas (the woman that bought him a pair of slippers that birthed YNorth.[6][7]
