Oluwatobi Abobade
Abobade Oluwatobi, popularly known as Osbalt.[1][2] born August 20, 1993, is a Nigerian creative photographer, entrepreneur, and creative designer. His work in photography, graphic design and photo manipulations has earned him both celebrity and international projects including the design of Reminisce (rapper)’s Fourth Studio album cover [3] El-Hadj, also worked on DJ Spinall's Album [4] My Story and many other artworks for notable artists.
Early life and education
Born in Ilorin, Kwara State, Oluwatobi is the sixth of six children. He attended Loyola College, Ibadan and University of Ilorin, where he studied geography and environmental management. He obtained his BSc. in 2014 and started his full-time journey into Arts and visuals after graduation. He has an interview with [5] Krone Africa where he stated he never attended any computer school or graphic institution and the knowledge was self-taught. He used to paint at a very tender age before diverting into computer graphics.
Notable projects and photographs
- In July 1, 2015, he designed the cover art for hit single 'Ashimapeyin'[6] by Wande Coal.
- In October 28, 2015, he was part of Dj Spinall 'My Story' album project.
- In August 29, 2016, Osbalt designed Reminisce’s biggest rap album cover.
- In November 2016, he branded Olamide OLIC concert [7]
- In July 11, 2017, he photographed the daughter of Mercy Aigbe, Michelle[8]
- In October 1, 2017, he was featured on MyStreetz Magazine, graphics designer and photographer of the year[9]
- In December 4, 2017, he photographed Kizz Daniel, the first official photoshoot after parting ways with his former label.
- In January 1, 2018, he photographed Mercy Aigbe, a lifestyle and fashion icon in Nigeria, which went viral[10] [11][12]
- In March 10, 2018, he photographed Nigerian Artist Slimcase for his first portfolio shoot[13]
- In March 17, 2019, his photography work was featured in Ellements Magazine, USA.[14]
- In October 2019, he branded the 'Human Radio Concert' by Niniola.
- In December 2019, he photographed Future (rapper) during his concert in Lagos, Nigeria.[15][16]
- Also in December 2019, he was part of the Fireboy DML bus pool project as the creative designer and photographer.
