Olzhas Zhandosov (born June 30, 1976) is a Kazakh oncologist, doctor of medical sciences, and academician of the IAIT (International Academy of Informatization). He is the author of unique patented methods of a comprehensive approach to the treatment of gastrointestinal tract cancer. In recent years, he has been one of the most quoted figures in medicine, oncology, and ecology. He was a pupil of Prof. Abraham Kuten and Prof. Galina Kausova.
Olzhas Zhandosov was born in Almaty and graduated from Kazakh National Medical University named after Asfendiyarov in 1999. In 1998, he took courses as a family doctor in the state of Oklahoma. From 1999 to 2000, he completed an internship at the Department of General Surgery at KazNMU named after Asfendiyarov in City Clinical Hospital No. 7 and in the Central City Clinical Hospital (CCCH). By decision of the State Qualification Commission on June 30, 2000, Zhandosov O.K. qualified as a surgeon. During his training at KazMMU named after Asfendiyarov from 2001 to 2003, under the leadership of Academician Durmanov K.D. at the CCCH, he completed a full course of training in clinical residency at the Department of General Surgery with a course in anesthesiology and resuscitation, and received a master's degree in surgery. He taught surgical disciplines at the medical faculty of the Kazakh-American University from 2002 to 2003 as an assistant in the section of biomedical sciences and as dean of the Faculty of Applied Sciences of KAU. From 2002 to 2003, he was the secretary of the Council of Young Scientists of KazNMU Asfendiyarov. From 2003 to 2007, he worked as an oncologist at the City Oncology Dispensary, as a regional oncologist in polyclinic №3, and as a mammologist in women's consultation № 8. From 2004 to 2007, he completed a postgraduate course in the specialty "oncology" at the Kazakh National Research Institute (KazNII) of oncology and radiology, under the guidance of Academician Arzykulov Zh.A. He studied at the European School of Pathologists (EScoP) with professors Gunter Kloppel (Germany), Cesare Bordi (Italy), and Serpil Dizbay Sak (Turkey) in September 2005. He finished the course "Pathology of tumors of the pancreas and gastrointestinal tract" in Turkey, Ankara. He received a Ph. D. from Kazakh Medicine University in 2015 and the title of Academician[1] in 2017.
