Oman Aviation Services was a former Flag carrier of Oman from 1981 to 1993 before merging into Oman Air.[1]

History 1981 - 1993

Oman Aviation Services was founded by The Sultan of Oman with the government owning the company. The airline served 5 destinations and operated 18 planes, including 13 planes from Gulf Air,[2] Oman Aviation Services operated 3 De Havilland DHC-6s,[3][4] and 2 Cessna Citation IIs. Oman Aviation Services went into bankruptcy on March 1, 1993, due to strategic rebranding and restructuring of Oman Air[1] that led to bankruptcy.
