Omar Zayed
Omar Zayed
Omar Hussein Mohamed Hassanin Zayed (born 7 October 1999 in Alexandria, Egypt) is an Egyptian freestyle wrestler. He began wrestling in 2014 at the Olympic Club in Alexandria and quickly rose through the national and international ranks. Zayed represents both Egypt and Wales in various national and international competitions.
Career
Zayed started his wrestling career in 2014 and achieved his first national success in 2018 by winning the Egyptian National Championship (92 kg). That same year, he earned a gold medal in the African Junior Wrestling Championship (92 kg) and was selected to join the Egyptian national wrestling team.
He continued competing nationally and internationally:
