Omid Hospital also known as Seyyed-Al-Shohada hospital is a cancer treatment institution in Isfahan, Iran, founded in 1971.[1] Omid Hospital is the largest cancer hospital in the center of Iran. Omid hospital is affiliated with Isfahan University of Medical Sciences.[2] Its main campus is located on Mottahri Street.
Omid, in Persian, means hope.
History
Omid hospital was founded in 1971 by a group of philanthropists on Mottahari Street in Isfahan. In 1977, the radiotherapy ward of the hospital was founded. In 2013, the number of beds at Omid hospital doubled when the Imam Reza pavilion opened. The cancer prevention pavilion of Omid Hospital opened in 2018.[3]

Cancer Prevention Research Center
Omid hospital also conducts hospital-based research programs in Iran. The Cancer Prevention Research Center was launched in 2013 as a formalized way to support, promote, and guide research at Omid hospital.[5]
