On Genetic Interests

From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

On Genetic Interests: Family, Ethnicity, and Humanity in an Age of Mass Migration is a 2003 book by Frank Salter.

Contents[edit]

Catherine Nash argues that the book is "an account of the persistence of genetically grounded ethnic bonds despite the complexity of modern, mobile, and multicultural societies".[1]

Critical response[edit]

Kenan Malik argues that On Genetic Interests establishes Salter's view that "immigration … is not only a genetic problem but also a political predicament".[2]

Hiram Caton, an AIDS denialist, argues that the book is characterized by the view that "political identity may be sustainable only on the basis of a dominant ethn[icit]y".[3]

The work has been reviewed in discredited[4] journal Mankind Quarterly, which promotes scientific racism.[5]
