On Genetic Interests

From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

On Genetic Interests: Family, Ethnicity, and Humanity in an Age of Mass Migration is a 2003 book by Frank Salter.

Contents

Catherine Nash argues that the book is "an account of the persistence of genetically grounded ethnic bonds despite the complexity of modern, mobile, and multicultural societies".[1]

Critical response

Kenan Malik argues that On Genetic Interests establishes Salter's view that "immigration … is not only a genetic problem but also a political predicament".[2]

Hiram Caton, an AIDS denialist, argues that the book is characterized by the view that "political identity may be sustainable only on the basis of a dominant ethn[icity]".[3]

The work has been reviewed in discredited[4] journal Mankind Quarterly, which promotes scientific racism.[5]
