Plot[edit]
One Strange Happy follows the dysfunctional adventures of 2 roommates living in Oregon: The easily frustrated Monica (Beth Dodge) and her crazy roomie Erik (Bryan Maurice). It Co-Stars Monica's mother Kendra (Sandra Dolittle), and Erik's happy-go-luck dad Patrick (Bobby Bridges). It features a number of supporting characters including Monica's new boyfriend Ronnie (Erik Montague), her semi racist brother-in-law Scooter (Scott Thomas), Scooters son Junior (Bill Christensen) and weird computer nerd Oswald (Frank Capopianco)
The series first begins with Monica and Erik dealing with their lives dynamic drastically changing after the breakup of Monica and her boyfriend Steven (Jonathon Wexler). This leaves Monica dating all types of weirdos before settling for Ronnie, who Erik hates.
While the initial "Monica dating a bunch" premise was the focal point in the earlier episodes, this premise was mostly abandoned as the series went on, as the focus became more about the dynamic of Monica and Erik being forced to be a "family" in a similar vein of "friends become family" ensemble comedies like It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia and New Girl. Typically, in season 1 each episode featured Monica dealing with a crazy situation that another character has caused. Season 2 will take a wide deviation from that. While still having Monica as the main focus but peering into her everyday life and the lives of her "Strange Family" more.
Cast and characters[edit]
Main[edit]

Despite her Type-A attitude, monica occasionally parties and partakes in smoking marijuana. In season two her job as a chef will be explored.
- Bryan Maurice as Erik– Monica's not so bright roommate. Erik is the oldest in the group of young friends. Despite his dumb demeanor he's quite quick witted and clever. He most enjoys working out at the gym and eating ice cream though is lactose intolerant. Season two will take a look into what keeps Monica and Ronnie together.
- Scott Thomas as Scooter– Monica's semi racist brother in-law and Kelly's Husband and father of Junior. Scooter loves his family and America and is trying to get used to Erik as a member of that family. Season two sees Scooter and Erik try to become better "brothers"
