History

Only Vimal, was found by Dhirubhai Ambani in year 1975. The Reliance Textiles Industries was incorporated in Maharashtra in year 1966. They also introduced the synthetic fabric mill in the same year at naroda, Gujarat. The reliance group expanded their business into textiles by introducing the brand Only Vimal in later years. The name of the brand came after his elder brother’s son, Vimal. Using the management and marketing tricks, Only Vimal made a good name in the Indian textile markets. Manufacturing

WORSTED SPINNING-

The machines which have the capability of spinning a variety of metrics, with blends of wool, poly and speciality fibres such as silk, flax, bamboo and all kinds of animal fibre. These machines have the capacity of producing 24s to 120s meter fabric. The machine also has the feature of Lycra Twisting and manufacturing of the specialized stretched fabric. They have the plant which caters the shade matching service as per the demands of their international markets. These machines are purchased from the textile machine manufacturers such as NSC, Zinser, SSM, and more.

SYNTHETIC SPINNING-

The step which includes the production of synthetic fabric blends of polyester and viscose.

WEAVING-

There are several looms added by Reliance to cater stringent quality to the consumers. There looms include- Air Jet looms from Japan and the Rapiers from Switzerland. The Multiple Air Jet weaving machines were installed to produce high quality fabrics at low cost with high speed, reduced vibration and low energy consumption. The Rapiers were equipped with the Active Rapier Technology (ART) which gave options of extended patterning options, fewer breaks, increased efficiencies, improved fabric quality.

PROCESSING-

The machines include the production of fibre dyed and piece dyed fabrics. It has the capacity to process about 1.8 million meters in a month.

• Xetma - This machine gives a cotton texture to the fabric, gives emerizing, brush suedeing and raising.
• Formula 1 -This machine gives customised finishing lines to meet the different customers’ needs, paper press imitation, decatizing to improve the Siro Fast formability parameter.
• Deco Fast -decatizing for the treatment of fabric under steam pressure to achieve outstanding dimensional stability of wool woven fabrics. This gives bounce, feel and sheen to the fabric.
• Kier Decatizing KD finish - This process enables the high-quality wool and the woollen blend fabrics a perfect fitting.
