OnwardMobility
OnwardMobility (Onward88, Inc.) is a US-based startup company active in mobile telecommications and cybersecurity.[1] The company was founded in 2018 by Peter Franklin, who serves as the company's CEO.[2] The company's workforce is built around dedicated experts from the telecommunications- and technology industry.[3] Its headquarters are located in Austin, Texas. In 2020, OnwardMobility and BlackBerry Limited announced a licensing agreement to deliver a new 5G BlackBerry smartphone in 2021.[4][5] For the new smartphone, OnwardMobility will work in close corporation with BlackBerry Limited and FIH Mobile (a subsidiary of Foxconn).[6] According to media reports, the smartphone will be a global flagship Android smartphone with a BlackBerry typical physical keyboard, 5G-connectivity and high-end specifications.[7]
