Ooglies
Ooglies were a electronic robotic toy, similar to Furbies, which were commercially released in 1999 by Playmates Toys. The toys were available in several different designs, each with it's own name and character. Oolgies come from out of space. The story goes that each one evolves into whatever the first thing was which made him or her laugh. Ooglies were invented by the American based company, Big Monster Toys. [1] Mini Ooglies were later introduced, featuring the original characters, in a smaller size and with a keyring clip attached.
To interact with an Ooglie, you must either pull it's tail, tickle it's feet or tap them on the head. In response to these actions, Ooglies will talk and make sounds. Their LED eyes will change colour and spin.
