OpenBeast is a US based online celebrity magazine that has been published since the summer of 2009. The magazine's purpose is stated as, "To connect and amplify inspiration with people".[1] [2] OpenBeast is an interview portal whose success is based upon its internet traffic. The magazine currently features categories including celebrities, musicians, entrepreneurs, authors, artists, real life, film makers, media personalities, fashionists, executives, academics, chefs, philanthropists, politicians, activities and athletes.[3]

OpenBeast was initially funded MiddleM Technology Labs, LLC. OpenBeast's current editor Stephen Manoj Thompson, Ph.D.,[4] who is also it's publisher since 2009. OpenBeast's primary readers are from US, Canada, UK, Malaysia and India. In 2011, OpenBeast's coverage of Evelyn Apoko [5] survival story from Joseph Kony, the leader of the Lord’s Resistance Army, caught national attention. CNN subsequently did a story "Ugandan woman recalls harrowing tale of captivity".[6]
