OpenSolaris JeOS (/ˈdʒuːs/ juice) is a reduced installation of the Sun-managed OpenSolaris distribution available as virtual machine (VM) images for a variety of system virtualization platforms. The images are as small as 139 MB and offer an alternative means to deploy OpenSolaris on a several platforms.

Pre-installed JeOS installations are provided by the OpenSolaris JeOS project for a variety of system virtualization platforms. These forms of the Sun-managed OpenSolaris allow the production of application-tailored installations of OpenSolaris in virtual appliance, cloud and bare metal environments.
- Small footprint alternative to the Live CD-based installation
- Pre-installed packages for common features used by virtual appliance developers
- Hardened out the box using Solaris security best practices demonstrated in the Immutable Service Containers (ISC) project.
- Scriptable, SSH-based control of initial boot process to enable appliance build automation
