Open Academic Research (OAR) is an ideal non-profit academic environment that is open to everyone. OAR creates opportunities to seek answers for open questions. It believes in free thinking and curiosity-driven minds. The academic settings in a country like India impose constraints that make people forget how to think freely. This takes away the creativity of a child. In the age of information technology, there is no lack of trained professionals. However, we have an emerging scarcity of creative minds. Only a few undergraduate schools aim to focus on nurturing creativity. The number of them is less than 10 in India. Hence, the sole interest is to gather creative minds on a platform to help youngsters keep their creativity alive.[1]

OAR's first project is a science workshop which will be held at KMS library, Melur, Koyilandy, Kerala from 28 December 2017 to 3 January 2018.[2]
