Open House Athens (OHA) is a cultural event that promotes architecture.[1] The event is non-profit and is based on volunteering and sponsorships.

The non-profit company "Open House Greece" is responsible for the organisation of the event. The company was founded in 2012 for that purpose and is part of the worldwide network Open House Worldwide, where all the companies that organise official Open House events belong.

The event includes free architectural tours of buildings –private and public– in the city, with some architectural importance. It takes place for one weekend every year.

The first Open House Athens took place in 2014. The first weekend of April has been established as the date of the event. As the years go by, several simultaneous events that begin a week earlier, have been added to the schedule of the main event.

Open House Athens is one of the most successful events of Athens that gather a wide audience. OHA opens up about 100 buildings and welcomes over 10.000 visitors every year. All the tours that take place during the event count a total of about 40.000 visits.[2]
