Oppong Clifford Benjamin[edit]

Oppong Clifford Benjamin is a civil engineer, project manager and award-winning poet.[1]

He calls himself a proud citizen of the African Continent, he is originally from a village called Prestea in the Western Region of Ghana.[2]

His poems have appeared in  KWEE magazine in Liberia, the Portor Portor (an anthology which featured six contemporary poets and six established poets across the world), Brittle paper, WRR, Ghana Writes Literary Journal, the UK poetry library.

In 2013, WRR poetry in Nigeria honoured Clifford as the Ghana Poet of the year[3]

3rd Place in The Professor Akukwei Okai Poetry Prize, November 2019, GAW.[4]

Best Graduating Student of the Civil Engineering Department, 2014. Kumasi Polytechnic, Ghana.

Ghana Poet of year 2013 by Words Rhythms Rhymes (WRR), Nigeria.

Clifford was invited to participate in the Greifswald University Students Festival (GRISTUF) 2018, Germany

Specially Invited by the Ministry of Youth of Rwanda to attend the 2018 Youth Connect Summit on Entrepreneurship, Kigali, Rwanda.

Invited to be the guest lecturer at the annual poetry festival of the University of Ibadan by WRR in 2017, Nigeria.

Invited to be a guest poet at the University of Ibadan poetry festival by the WRR in 2018, Nigeria.
