Oprah Sagal.[1] is a Motorsport journalist, analyst and F1 author from Saudi Arabia. She is the first female to cover Motorsport events in the Middle East. In 2019, Sagal became Dare to be Different[2] Ambassador[3] as a role model to encourage young girls and women in Motorsport. D2BD is an organization founded by Susie Wolff to increase the participation of women in all categories of motor racing and to change the views of young girls and women in perceived male-dominated industries.

Career

Oprah is known as the first and only Arab female Motor Racing journalist, and the only female to cover the first Motorsport events in the Middle East. Besides F1, Oprah has covered the first Race of Champions event in the capital city of Saudi Arabia in 2018. She also covered the debutante event of ABB FIA Formula E Championship at Ad Diriyah in 2018/2019 & 2019/2020, which was the first time Ad Diriyah EPrix hosted a double header event. Sagal had the privilege to cover one of the most widely considered as the world's toughest motor race event in her home town, Saudi Arabia, Dakar Rally (Dakar 2020). She also covers all local Motorsport activities by SAMF[4]

She is very well known as a positive role model and inspirational personality for her powerful knowledge of F1, increasing interest among Arab viewers in the region, and is a key player for the sport for both genders. Oprah is known as the ambassador of Motorsport for the Arab world.
