Orbital is an American space technology company headquartered in Los Angeles, California. The company is developing a constellation of satellite-based data centers in low Earth orbit (LEO) designed to run artificial intelligence inference workloads. It was founded by Euwyn Poon, who previously led the electric scooter company Spin prior to its acquisition by Ford Motor Company.[1]
History
On April 14, 2026, Orbital announced it had received seed funding from Andreessen Horowitz's early-stage fund, a16z speedrun, for an undisclosed amount.[2]
