Origin (Objectifying Rehabilitation Initiatives to Generically Impact Nurturance) is an internationally active Non-Governmental Organization that improves education, health, and protects women's rights in Pakistan. Health facilities are provided, especially to vulnerable women and children, through affordable or free medical services in areas needing them. Origin began with 10 founding members who became the organization's board members after its 2009 registration with the government. The organization was formed in 2007 by Jahangir Wasim, and operated for two years with only three members. Origin did not raise any funds until 2011, relying on personal contributions from board members.
Objectives
Origin has various objectives, including providing health and education facilities to vulnerable people. The organization also runs health awareness campaigns and works to prevent HIV and Hepatitis B and C. Origin also works to prevent child abuse and protect women's rights. [1] Its basic aim is to improve Community Physical Infrastructure (CPI).

Notable Activities
Hotona, working with Origin Community Development Organisation, has launched a Fight Club broadcasting from Germany. Revenue generated will benefit countries affected by the war on terror. [3] In 2010, Origin sponsored an HIV/AIDS awareness campaign in the Balochistan Boys Scouts building, attended by student nurses and representatives from other NGOs, including Save the Children's provincial manager, Dr. Fahim Afridi. From August 2011, Origin will sponsor the full education expenses of selected students who are capable of learning but lack funds. This will be self-funded; no third party is involved except for the Pearl Institute of Management and Information Technology, which will waive 25% of the tuition for students on Origin Scholarships.
