Orkhan Mammadov (Azerbaijani: Orxan Vidadi oğlu Məmmədov; 1 July 1984, Baku) is the Chairman of Management Board in Small and Medium Business Development Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan (SMBDA)[1], CEO of the Zira FK and the Chairman of the Supervisory Board[2], the President of Azerbaijan Futsal Federation[3].
Biography[edit]
Orkhan Mammadov was born on July 1, 1984 in Baku. In 1991-2001, he was educated at the school-lyceum № 6 named after Tofig Ismayilov in Baku. In 2001-2005 he studied at the Faculty of International Relations and International Law of Baku State University. In 2005 he studied the international business and finance program at Regent’s University in London. In 2005-2006 he served in the army. In 2007-2009 he received a Master's Degree in Business Administration at Odlar Yurdu University. In 2010-2012 he studied finance and credit at Azerbaijan State University of Economics. He is fluent in the Azerbaijani, English, Russian and Turkish languages.
He is married and has three children.
Activity[edit]
In 2006-2007, Orkhan Mammadov worked as a leading consultant in the sector of international organizations of the Department of international organizations at the Ministry of Energy (Azerbaijan). In 2007-2009 he worked as a deputy chief of the Department of entrepreneurship development policy of the Ministry of Economy. In 2009-2011 he worked as a deputy head of Foreign Economic Relations Department of the Ministry of Economy. From April to December 2011, he worked as a deputy head of the Department of Interstate economic cooperation of the Ministry of Economy, and in 2011-2014 as a head of the Department. In 2014-2016, he worked as a head of the Department of Economy and Industry, and in 2016-2018 as a chief of the Department of Interstate economic cooperation of the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
Since February 27, 2018, he is the Chairman of the management personnel of the Small and Medium Business Development Agency established according to the Decree of the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev dated to December 28, 2017[4][5].
