Oscillation Records is a British independent record label founded in Manchester, England in 2021 by rapper and musician BSK (Ben Sharp Knowles). The label operates under the philosophy "Built for Artists, Not Profit" and represents emerging artists across hip hop, drum and bass, and electronic music.
History
Oscillation Records was founded in 2021 by BSK (Ben Sharp Knowles), a rapper and entrepreneur from Chorley, Lancashire.[1] The label was established as a home for BSK's own releases while simultaneously offering artist development and release services to emerging musicians.
By 2026, the label had released over 44 projects across singles, EPs, and albums, and had grown to a roster of 19 artists based across the United Kingdom and internationally, including artists from Morocco and Nigeria.[2]
Philosophy
Oscillation Records describes its approach as artist-focused, prioritising creative control and transparency throughout the music release process. The label positions itself against major label corporate structures, operating with a small team and emphasising long-term career development over short-term commercial gains. Its stated mission is to combine "creativity, technology, and smart strategy" in service of emerging talent.
