Austin Wolfe, known by her stage name as Oston (stylized as OSTON), is an American singer-songwriter.
Early life
Oston was born and raised in Park City, Utah,[1] where she graduated from Park City High School.[2]
Career
Oston was first recognized as a promising vocalist after appearing on season 13 of American Idol.[3] Her performance at the Salt Lake City try outs was called 'flawless'.[4]
Following the release of her self-published albums Sitting at the Kids Table and Am I Talking Too Much,[2] Oston signed with 3V Method.[5] Universal Music Publishing Group published "Whatshisface" in partnership with the new label.[6]
As a songwriter, Austin collaborates with artists such as Lauren Sanderson, Upsahl and Jordy Shulman.[7]
In 2024 Oston released Saint Rich, receiving a positive early reception with AnnaLiese Baker of ECHO notiing the "catchy bridge and hearbreaking choruses" of “Wtf u want" that can get "stuck in your head."[8] Later that year, she headlined a tour for the first time.[1] Her song "Love Money Sex Drugs" was featured on the soundtrack of the 2024 movie Prom Dates. After watching her San Francisco show on the tour, Norm deVeyra, called her 'one to watch out for.'[9]
