Larry Otega Ako, known professionally as Otee Beatz (also styled as Otee BeAtz) is a Nigerian DJ, record producer, singer and songwriter.
Life and Music Career
Born in Minna, Niger State into a family of six and raised in Ughelli, Delta State, Otee Beatz started mixing music for choreography at the age of 12. He attended Government Secondary School in Minna, Niger State but moved to Ughelli, Delta State where he completed his secondary school education at Kogbodi International School. He studied Computer Science at the University of Calabar in Calabar Nigeria.
He began his musical career in 2008 and found recognition through his production on records like “First Class” and “Before I Go Broke” (with Yung6ix)[1], “Believe"[2] (with DJ Neptune), “Mary"[3] (with Seyi Shay), “This Year”[4] (with Vision DJ and Mr Eazi), “Mali” (with Pendo and Petra) and “Win Win”[5] (with Ladipoe). In 2016 Otee Beatz released his first studio single as an independent artiste titled “Take me away”[6] featuring Lynxxx and Sojay.
In addition to his productions he mixed and mastered several other records such as “Dance Go” (by Hennessy Artistry featuring Wizkid and 2baba), “Skin Tight” (by Mr Eazi featuring Efya), “Skin Tight – Uk Remix” (by Mr Eazi featuring Stefflon Don, Haile WSTRN) and “Hollup” (by Mr Eazi featuring Joey B).
