Owen Crump was a writer, director, and producer in the United States. He painted. He worked in radio.

Career[edit]

In 1926, Crump performed in the show The Cajun. He was a writer for the 1950 show Southern Exposure.[1][2][3]

He was a screenwriter for Jack Warner.[4] He made a series of "pro-American" short films for the U.S. government.[5] After World War II, Warner chose him to helm a series of four films.[6] He worked on The Bell System Science Series films.

He obtained copyrights for installments in the Death's Diary series.[7]

He was interviewed about his career in 1994.[8]

Personal life[edit]

Crump was born in Muskogee, Oklahoma. His father was William Jackson Crump.

Crump was engaged to Isabell Jewell.[9] He married Jean ?. He remarried Lucile Fairbanks.[4][10]
