This page is about the Welsh royal family. The Owen family ruled over many principalities in Wales eventually they were all united to form one kingdom which was ruled by rhidri mawr king of wales and an Owen family member. The Owen family were related to the English family and were cousins to Queen Elizabeth I the Owen family started the Tudor dynasty which ruled for many years. When Queen Elizabeth took the throne Wales united with England to be part of the same monarchy. The Owen family were given many castles, palaces, crowns and estates. They were seated as dukes and duchess but some were seated as princes and princesses all were given HRH titles. Later some of the family members went to South Africa to from a colony there. The Owen family in Wales is believed to have died out but there are believed to be some members living somewhere in South Africa (most probably Cape Town) These family members can claim many estates, titles and castles all from their family monarchs like King Henry through to Queen Elizabeth I. In recent years a family tree has been discovered this family tree is not fully completed though. In descending order. The full family tree is believed to be inside a vault in a castle in Wales. Prince Robert Owen cousin or brother to Queen Elizabeth I Historians unsure Owen Owen father of Owen Owen father of John Owen father of Edward Owen believed to have moved to South Africa, father of many children most notably Kenneth Harvey Owen The family either died out here or is still somewhere in South Africa or Wales. If the family would want to they can claim their rights. The treaty of Powyys states that England recognizes the authority of the Welsh Monarchy. The Owen royal family can be traced further back then the English royal family. The Owen royal family are still related to the British royal family to this day. If there are any Owen family members alive then they could be the monarch of all of Wales and its territories like the Bahamas and Australia. All castles that are not privately owned in Wales could be this family. If the family were to become the monarch of the kingdom of Wales then one third of all British territories would also become part of Wales. If the British people were to vote then they could vote to become part of the Tudor family again. Even if they are not to be the monarchs of Wales then they should be given the tittles Prince and Princess along with the castles and crown estates of the Tudor dynasty because they are related to the last Tudor monarch more then the British royal family so should inherit the Tudor crown estate and all buildings crowns and titles.
Estates They lay claim to all castles in the reigion listed above including Powis Castle
