Owumi Ugbeye is a Nollywood actress who suddenly started springing up to fame after featuring in MTV base 'Shuga' and her lead role in the movie ‘Stolen Lives’. She is passionate about acting, singing, cooking and writing.[1]

Early Life and Education[edit]

Owumi was born and brought up in Lagos State Nigeria. At teen, Owumi already started building her acting career by participating in performances in her mother’s theatre company. She attended Pampers Private School, Queens College Lagos, RISS Maryland and proceeded to the university of Benin Nigeria, where she barged a degree in Foreign Languages, specifically French.[2]

Career[edit]

Though Owumi did not study acting as a professional career but her mother; Tosan Ugbeyi who is a professional Actress has coached her in building a career in acting. She had opportunity to start participated in performances at her mother’s theatre company. She started acting in 2013 and she is a familiar face in the MTV Base series, ‘Shuga’ which was her first professional acting job.[3]
