Oxdog
OXDOG is a Swedish-Finnish floorball equipment manufacturer. It is the first company to produce a one-piece stick.
History
Oxdog was founded in 2011 by two Swedes, Joacim Bergström & Mattias Eklund, and one Finn, Marko Sompa. This trio had more than 20 years of experience in the sales and marketing of floorball articles at this time.[1] The company behind Oxdog is Evosport AB.
The name Oxdog is made up of the two words Ox, which means ox in German, and Dog, which means dog in German. The ox represents strength. This is combined with a dog, an animal that is intelligent, quick and always loyal.
Products and markets
At the beginning, the Swedish-Finnish-based manufacturer specialized exclusively in the trade and production of floorball sticks. In 2012, the company produced the first one-piece stick. This is a stick and blade from a single cast. The Stick Balance System, or SBS for short, developed by Oxdog allows players to adjust the center of gravity using a metal weight.
Oxdog has expanded its range over the years. There are now multiple series of floorball sticks and blades. Oxdog also manufactures goalkeeper equipment, bags, grips and teamwear.
