Oxi Fresh was launched in 2006 in Lakewood, Colorado[2] by Jonathan Barnett as a green carpet cleaning business that services both residential and commercial properties.[3] It currently operates as a franchising company with 226 franchises across the United States.[4] The company is a member of the U.S. Green Building Council, International Franchise Association, International Facility Management Association, International Sanitary Supply Association, the Small Business Administration, the Veterans Franchise Initiative, and one of its products has been allowed to carry the EPA's Design for the Environment label.[5]

The company has received several commendations from industry observers. Entrepreneur magazine,[6] Inc. magazine's Inc.500|5000,[7] and the Franchise Times[8] all included Oxi Fresh on lists of franchises with high growth rates. The company has also been included on other industry awards lists, such as the Franchise 500 [9] and the FBR50.[10]
