Ozark Law
Ozark Law is an American documentary series on A&E that follows officers of law enforcement in the small towns of Lake Ozark, Missouri, Osage Beach, Missouri, and Sunrise Beach, Missouri as they tackle all of the conflicts that arise from the millions of tourists they receive during the summer.[1]
The show premiered on January 8, 2025, with season two airing January 7, 2026. A third season was announced to be in development in May 2026.[2]
Premise
The TV series follows officers from the police departments of Lake Ozark, Missouri, Osage Beach, Missouri, and Sunrise Beach, Missouri on their daily patrols, witnessing firsthand the challenges they face in maintaining order and ensuring safety in this lively midwestern destination.[3]
Notable Events
In the finale episode of the first season, the show tells the story of Police Officer Phylicia Carson as she loses her life in a pursuit in the summer of 2024. Carson was providing backup in a high-speed pursuit alongside her partner at Osage Beach Police Department when she lost control of her vehicle and fatally crashed.
The two officers were pursuing 23-year-old Christopher Wehmeyer when the accident occurred. Since then, Wehmeyer has been charged with aggravated fleeing a traffic stop resulting in death, second-degree felony murder, possession of a controlled substance, unlawful use of a weapon, and armed criminal action.[4]
