About P. B. Balaji
P. B. Balaji, also known as Balz_G, is a young music composer who started his film career with the film "Inba" starring Actor Shaam and Actress Sneha. His initial movies were in regional languages Tamil, Telugu, and Kannada. His notable Kannada films were Mast Maja Maadi, Chamkaisi Chindi Udaisi, and his recent works as a movie composer are for the Tamil movie Koothan. He is experienced and has consistently contributed over the last decade in film, television, and the ad film industry.
Early life
Though his forefathers hailed from Mysuru, he was born and brought up in Chennai. He finished his schooling and graduated from MGR Film and Television Institute of Tamil Nadu. His parents found his keen interest in music and dancing, so they encouraged him to train himself in Carnatic music, Western music, Flute, and Keyboard.
Career
P. B. Balaji started his career as a stage singer and keyboard player and has performed for about 800 live shows. He started his own musical band “Chennai Classics” in the year 2003. He has also composed for 600 advertisements and film jingles. He has contributed immensely toward the Audio Promotions for Jayam Company with reputed producer, Editor Mohan for Jayam Ravi starring “Something Something Unnakum Ennakum”. After his graduation from Adyar Film Institute, he signed his first film “Inba”. He has had a good association with Sun television and has worked on a lot of in-house projects with the same.
Getting an opportunity to score BGM in K. Bhagyaraj sir’s film “Siddhu +2” has been a turning point in his life. This particular movie has been a learning experience and is most cherished by the composer as he got to interact with Ace Director K. Bhagyaraj (mentor/guru).
