PD
Peter Duggal is a British musician, composer, and music producer. He is known for his work in electronic music and for his collaborations with a number of notable artists.
Career
Duggal began his musical career in 1990, releasing the acid house track "Psyche" under the artist name "Doggy" on the RHAM! Records label. The track achieved success in the UK dance and indie charts. Throughout the 1990s, he produced songs for Nintendo and completed remixes for various artists, including a remix of Dillinger's "Cokane In My Brain (Raggarave Mix)," which reached position 54 on the UK charts.
He has been the musical partner of Wolfgang Flür, a former member of the influential electronic band Kraftwerk, since 2015. Duggal collaborated with Flür on his albums Magazine 1 and Times, which featured artists such as Midge Ure, Peter Hook (New Order/Joy Division), Boris Blank (Yello), Carl Cox, and Juan Atkins. Duggal co-wrote and produced the song "Birmingham" with Flür, which was also remixed by Peter Hook.
Duggal's work has also been featured in other media. He contributed eight pieces to the soundtrack of the video game Polybius for Sony PlayStation, which was named VR Game of the Year in 2017 by Edge Magazine.
In addition to his production and composition work, Duggal gives talks and lectures, where he deconstructs his successful releases to explain the processes of composition, production, mixing, and mastering. He has an MSc in Music Technology from City University in London.
