PECB (Professional Evaluation and Certification Board) is an international certification body founded in 2005 in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. It provides worldwide training, examination, and certification services for individuals on a wide range of international standards - a formal recognition which states that the individual has proficiency within, and a comprehension of, a specified body of knowledge. Each PECB certification has specific education and experience requirements.
PECB operates in 150 countries through its global network of resellers and trainers.
History
PECB was founded in 2005 in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Its mission has been, and continues to be, to benefit society as a whole with its training, examination, and certification services.
Throughout the years, PECB has certified individuals, organizations, and products (ISO/IEC 17065). It became the first certification body accredited against ISO 37001 [1] and through PECB MS has certified the first company against the same standard. [2] In response to current trends and demands, PECB expanded its training provision to technical training courses and was awarded as the best cyber security education provided for North America (between 100-499 employees) [3] by the Cybersecurity Excellence Awards.
PECB subsequently narrowed down its provision of services to training and certification of individuals on a wide range of international standards. PECB-certified individuals work for companies worldwide, including, but not limited to, Deloitte, PwC, Vodafone, BNP Paribas, KPMG. [4]
Accreditation
PECB is accredited by the International Accreditation Service (IAS) under:

PECB is an associate member of The Independent Association of Accredited Registrars (IAAR), a Full Member of the International Personnel Certification Association (IPC), a member and the first certification body accredited from Club Ebios [5], and a listed organization on Credential Engine [6].
PECB is a signatory member of the IPC MLA.
