Early Life
Curtis L. Alexander was born April 1, 1990, in San Bernardino, California. Curtis was raised by his mother, La-Shauna Hardy, and his father Curtis Alexander Sr. His father was murdered when he was only two years old. His mother later married Brian Clay, who has been a father figure to him since he was four years old. Curtis presently has four siblings, two brothers and two sisters. At the age of eighteen, Curtis graduated from Fontana High School. Shortly after, in January 2009, his best friend, Darius "DeBone" Simmons, was tragically murdered.[1]
This terrible tragedy pushed Curtis to take his music career very seriously. He began dropping mixtapes, cutting hair, doing tattoos, which all built a local buzz in the Inland Empire. However, Curtis ran with a local gang who was notorious for trouble. His music began to sound more gritty, with more substance.[2]
His music lyrics started telling the chilling truth that can only be told from his firsthand experience in the streets of the (IE) Inland Empire of California.[3]
Personal Life
PAC Alexander is the father of two, Curtis III, born October 5th, 2013 (10 years old), and Cassidy, born August 13th, 2016 (7 years old). He is also a tattoo artist and a barber.
On January 12th, 2009, PAC lost his best friend to gang violence. Rumors were saying PAC was the intended target. This sent PAC spiraling downhill.[4]
In 2013, he received his first conviction; guilty of possession of a loaded firearm. He was sentenced to three years at Old Folsom State Prison. He served eighteen months total. Pac felt he had to live the life he rapped about in order to sustain his notorious street reputation. Therefore, he would commit the act first and rap about what actually happened second.
With that lifestyle, women, drugs, guns, and money were always a part of the narrative. This led him to his devastating arrest for pimping and pandering in 2015. He made bail and continued to feed the IE streets.
In 2016, PAC found himself in handcuffs once again, this time for possession of a loaded firearm. With good speed, PAC was released from county jail again, but this time he was out on two bails.
That didn't stop him from creating. He went on a tirade with visuals and new music that featured his protégé (JayR), who was also known in the streets for his flashy style and absurd rap delivery.
July 7th, 2016, Juventino Montez was murdered in the north side of Fontana, Ca. He fell victim to gun violence in a botched robbery.
June 2017, Alexander was caught in another twist. This time, a close friend of his used his name to get out of another pimping case. Alexander, being out on two bails already, was forced to go on the run, at least until things blew over and he had his lawyer paid for in advance.
PAC Alexander was arrested in Cincinnati, Ohio, and extradited back to California in March 2018. His journey had finally come to an end.
Alexander would spend the next four years in county jail, fighting for his freedom and fighting rival gang members for survival and sport. November 2022, Alexander signed a plea deal for pimping and gang charges related to a loaded firearm.
He was sentenced to twelve years in state prison. He would only have to serve six years total. The remaining two years were spent working on his physical appearance and strengthening his spirituality.
He tattooed his fellow inmates with a jail-made tattoo machine and filled notepads with new music and more witty metaphors.
Career
Six months before his release from prison, PAC signs a global music and video distribution deal with DogSled Music Group. He releases his debut album "Delay Of Game[5]”, November 23, 2023, Thanksgiving Day, from behind the walls of North Kern State Prison.
Musical style and influences
PAC's early inspirations were Lil Wayne, JayZ, Ludacris, Dipset, and G-Unit. He started being noted for his ability to write and use metaphoric, sometimes animated, witty punch lines in his music. His music has the hip-hop storytelling elements with powerful, catchy hooks. His style, good looks, and flow have him compared to legends, dead and alive.
